Mat was born and raised in Alamogordo and values his community and clients. He has been cutting hair since he was a teenager for friends and family, as it is a passion of his, and has been a Licensed Master Barber for about 6 years. He has seen immense growth in his craft since he began and is eager to learn more as he goes, through client requests and staying up to date on new techniques and styles. Through barbering, he has met many people and personally connects with most of those people. "Clients are not just clients to me, they become my friends, and in some cases, like my family."
